Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Paediatric Speech Therapist role based in Mount Pritchard, NSW. The Paediatric Speech Therapist will provide assessment and therapy to children with speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing needs, including those with disabilities. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting standardized and informal assessments, developing individualized therapy plans, and delivering one-on-one and small group interventions. The role involves maintaining accurate clinical documentation, preparing progress reports, and contributing to funding or NDIS-related documentation as required. The therapist will collaborate closely with families, carers, educators, and other allied health professionals,



participate in case conferences, and engage in career development to ensure practice remains current and evidence-based.

Qualifications

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and current membership or eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Experience in paediatric assessment and intervention across speech, language, social communication, and literacy, including work with children with disabilities.
- Strong skills in client- and family-centered care, including working collaboratively with carers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to develop clear therapy goals, write reports, maintain timely documentation, and manage a varied clinical caseload.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain clinical concepts in accessible, supportive language.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, ongoing professional learning, and reflective clinical work.
- Organizational and time-management skills to plan sessions, track progress, and meet reporting and compliance requirements.
- Registration and clearances as required to work with children (e.g., Working With Children Check and National Police Check), and valid work rights in Australia.
- Experience in community, school, or clinic-based paediatric settings is highly regarded; NDIS experience is an advantage.
