About the role
We are seeking an experienced A-Grade Electrician to join our team in Ballarat, VIC. This is a full-time position based in our Ballarat office, offering the prospect to work on diverse electrical projects serving the local community. As an A-Grade Electrician, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional electrical services whilst maintaining our reputation for quality and safety. This role is perfect for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in their work and is committed to professional excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential properties
- Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective solutions in a timely manner
- Conduct electrical inspections and complete required testing, compliance and rectification works
- Carry out smoke alarm inspections, testing, replacements and rectification works in accordance with relevant requirements
- Identify electrical and safety defects and provide appropriate rectification solutions
- Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical safety standards and regulations
- Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and proper operation
- Communicate effectively with clients about work scope, timelines, and costs
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Complete inspection reports and documentation accurately and to a high standard
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and safe work practices on site
What we're looking for
- Current A-Grade electrical licence issued by the relevant Victorian authority
- Extensive experience working as a qualified electrician in residential settings
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety requirements in Victoria
- Proficiency in the use of electrical testing and diagnostic equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transport
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
