GDP Group is a national facilities management and construction business with operations across height safety, building maintenance units, façade care and construction. We are seeking a Financial Analyst to support accurate accounting, financial reporting and analysis across our business.
Key Responsibilities
The role
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations and management reports.
- Analyse revenue, costs, margins and variances across projects and operating divisions, and present findings to management.
- Support annual budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and coordinate month end and year end close.
- Review BAS and GST reconciliations and support statutory reporting in conjunction with external advisers.
- Review accounts payable and receivable information and strengthen financial controls and reporting processes.
- Work with operational managers to interpret financial results and support business decisions.
Skill & Experience
- A bachelor degree in accounting, commerce or a closely related field.
- At least two years of relevant professional accounting experience with financial reporting, reconciliations and analysis.
- Solid Excel skills and the ability to explain financial results clearly.
- Knowledge of Australian accounting requirements, GST, BAS and internal controls.
- Experience with MYOB and Simpro, or comparable systems, is advantageous.
- A careful, organised approach and ability to work with managers across multiple business units.
