Our client is an Australian-owned, boutique engineering consultancy providing end-to-end services across Structural and Civil Engineering services.

They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join their vibrant Melbourne CBD team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive team environment, working closely with senior engineers on a wide range of structural projects.

Key responsibilities

- Work alongside experienced engineers, drafters and project coordinators to deliver accurate, well-coordinated design work on time
- Design structural solutions for residential projects, including single dwellings, townhouses and low-rise developments, with mentoring from senior engineers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders from concept through to completion
- Produce clear, accurate calculations, drawings and documentation aligned with technical standards and project needs
- Take part in design reviews, identifying potential issues early, proposing practical solutions and responding to technical queries
- Grow your skilled capability through ongoing training, mentoring and knowledge sharing across the team




- Use feedback to sharpen your technical judgement and improve the quality and efficiency of your work

About you

- Tertiary qualifications in Structural Engineering, or Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis
- Post-graduate experience in structural design within an Australian consultancy
- Experience working on multiple building projects in a multidisciplinary environment

- Experience planning and implementing engineering projects, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality engineering services
- Proficiency in analysis and design software such as SpaceGass, RAPT, ETABS or Revit Structure
- Strong working knowledge of Australian Standards and NCC requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels and across all disciplines
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and negotiate desired outcomes
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to envision and deliver practical solutions
- A proactive, solutions-focused attitude and a genuine commitment to quality and teamwork
