RGM Maintenance is seeking motivated and reliable apprentices to join our team in Rocklea. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience working around Daimler Trucks and heavy vehicles, while completing your apprenticeship and working towards becoming a qualified tradesperson.
Key responsibilities
Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanic:
- Servicing and maintaining heavy vehicles
- Mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance
- Fault finding and diagnostics
- Inspecting and identifying mechanical issues
- Working with diesel engines and vehicle systems
- Using hand tools, workshop equipment and diagnostic equipment
- Learning safe and efficient workshop practices
- Working alongside experienced tradespeople
Apprentice Boilermaker:
- Welding and metal fabrication
- Cutting, grinding and fitting
- Repairs and modifications
- Reading and interpreting drawings
- Fabrication and maintenance of components
- Using workshop tools and machinery
- Learning different welding and fabrication techniques
- Working alongside experienced tradespeople
About you
- Have a genuine interest in trucks, heavy vehicles, mechanics or fabrication
- Are keen to learn and develop a trade
- Are reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Have a good attitude and willingness to learn
- Take pride in their work
- Are safety-conscious
- Can follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Are committed to completing their apprenticeship
- No previous trade experience is required
