Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Finance team. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring supplier invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time while helping maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.

About the Role
As our Accounts Payable Assistant, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of supplier invoices, maintaining vendor records, supporting payment processes, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain supplier accounts and vendor records within company ERP systems
- Process supplier invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently
- Respond to supplier and internal stakeholder enquiries in a qualified and timely manner
- Assist with supplier reconciliations and payment processing
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and financial controls
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to system enhancements
- Maintain accurate records and complete administrative tasks to support finance operations
What You'll Bring
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Creditor Ledger role
- Experience working with computerised accounting or ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Qualifications
- Year 12 Certificate or equivalent
- Relevant Accounting, Finance, or TAFE qualifications will be highly regarded
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills,
particularly Excel
- Strong understanding of compliance, financial controls, and process governance
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a busy environment
