Lawson Elliott is excited to partnering with a growing organisation who are looking to welcome in a confident and driven Accounts Payable Officer to join their team on an initial 3mth ongoing temporary contract, with the opportunity to go permanent afterwards for the right candidate.
This role will be perfect for someone who has had prior experience within a fast-moving business or a high invoicing environment. This role won't be your standard day-to-day Accounts Payable position as this business has a lot of moving parts, which will provide the successful candidate with a great opportunity to upskill themselves.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, your key responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:
- End-to-end invoice processing across multiple entities in QLD
- Reporting and maintaining accurate records
- Manage the AP inbox and respond to supplier enquiries
- Identify and solve any issues within the end-to-end process
- Perform complex supplier reconciliations and follow up any discrepancies
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders across multiple locations in QLD
- Assist the Finance team with ad-hoc accounts duties as required
To be considered for this role, it would be advantageous to have:
- Minimum 3 years of work experience as an Accounts Payable officer in either a standalone or small team environment
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of large, intricate accounting softwares desired
- Solid Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLookups etc)
- High problem-solving skills and solution-focussed mindset
