Customer Support Specialist (Casual, Flexible Hours)

The role
Join our Customer Service team and help parents and suppliers get the most from the Flexischools platform. You will provide timely, accurate and friendly frontline support, taking ownership of customer enquiries and helping resolve issues efficiently.
This is a predominantly phone-based role, with additional support provided through email, live chat and other channels as required. You will build strong product knowledge, work across multiple systems and collaborate with internal teams to deliver a consistently positive customer experience.

What you'll do
Provide predominantly phone-based support to parents and suppliers, with email, live chat and other channels used as required.
Respond to customer enquiries in a friendly, professional and efficient way.
Provide clear solutions and guidance, aiming to meet or exceed service level targets.
Support customers with account, order, payment and basic product usage enquiries.
Investigate issues, take ownership and follow them through to resolution.
Escalate technical, financial or complex issues to the appropriate team, including Finance or Application Support.
Maintain clear and accurate CRM notes and keep customer records up to date.
Build strong knowledge of Flexischools products, systems, processes and internal knowledge bases.
Share recurring customer questions, issues and feedback to help improve our processes, product and customer experience.
Contribute to broader customer service activities such as CRM data maintenance, knowledge base updates, menu support, and product testing or feedback when required.
What you'll bring
Previous experience in customer service, customer support or a call centre environment, including casual experience.
Confidence handling a high volume of phone-based customer enquiries.
A friendly, skilled phone manner and strong verbal communication skills.
Clear written communication skills for email and live chat support.
A calm, practical and solutions-focused approach to customer issues.
Comfort learning and working across multiple systems, including CRM and web-based platforms.
Robust attention to detail, time management and follow-through.
The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Hours and flexibility
We're open to a range of weekday work patterns and happy to discuss what works for the successful candidate and the team, including school-friendly hours where helpful.
The role is hybrid, including 2 days per week in the office to support team connection and collaboration, with the remaining hours worked remotely.
