Seaford Radiology is looking for an enthusiastic Advanced Trainee Sonographer to join our friendly and supportive team in Seaford.
This position would suit a trainee who already has a positive foundation in ultrasound and is looking to further develop their scanning skills in a clinical environment with appropriate support and supervision.
About the role
You will gain further practical experience performing a range of ultrasound examinations while working alongside experienced professionals. The role provides an opportunity to develop confidence, scanning technique, patient communication and overall clinical competency.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is currently undertaking an accredited postgraduate ultrasound qualification or recognised sonography training pathway
- Is at an advanced stage of sonography training
- Has previous practical ultrasound scanning experience
- Has good knowledge of ultrasound anatomy and scanning techniques
- Demonstrates professional and compassionate patient care
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is reliable, motivated and willing to learn
- Can work effectively as part of a small clinical team
- Is committed to developing their skills toward becoming a qualified sonographer
Experience in general, abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, small parts, MSK and vascular ultrasound would be advantageous; however, the range of examinations performed will depend on the trainee's current level of competency and supervision requirements.
