Telesales Representative (Maternity Leave Contract)

The role, located in Port Melbourne, is a rare opportunity to be involved in the exciting range of Industrial Weighing products and accessories. This role will present solutions to customers via phone and online meetings and demonstrations to a defined list of dedicated target accounts and in response to a constant stream of customer enquiries.

This is a temporary opportunity to join our Telesales team, supporting our customers, maintaining strong relationships and helping to drive sales performance during a period of parental leave.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing and managing an opportunity pipeline to meet sales targets.

Use of a customer relationship management (CRM) system to manage leads, quotes and activities.

Constantly demonstrating selling skills and intention to sell.

Sales of products via the phone and electronic media (emails, chat, webinar).

Sales calls to designated accounts, both customers and prospects.

Preparation of reports as required.

Liaising with Product Managers for continuous product and application training and to assist with marketing campaigns.

Cooperating closely with field sales representatives to drive communication and knowledge sharing.

Assisting with general marketing activities where appropriate.

Key desired attributes include:

Bachelor level education in a relevant engineering field (Highly desired)

Strong negotiation and closing skills

High level of enthusiasm

Excellent customer service skills - listening and communication skills.

Ability to work both autonomously and as a team player

Excellent ability with web and electronic tools

Previous experience in phone-based sales or customer service roles and use of CRM systems is highly regarded.
