We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Architectural Draftsman to join our expanding team. You will work in a team-oriented environment on a variety of multi-residential, commercial and industrial projects. You will be involved in all stages of projects, from design concept through to construction drawings.
Key responsibilities
- Architectural detailing
- Coordination of internal and external schedules
- Ensure consistency between Concept, DA, CC and Marketing documentation
- Look for design opportunities and efficiencies across all our products
- Include and coordinate all external consultants' information as part of architectural packages
- Assist in the development of company protocols on document transmit systems
- Coordinate with the design, construction and estimation departments to ensure design intent is followed throughout and resolve any detailing issues prior to construction
- Assist Construction Managers,
Architects and Surveyors in planning and organisation
- Interpret plans, regulations and codes of practice
- Prepare preliminary sketches, working drawings and specifications
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture
- General Construction Induction White Card
- At least 5 years' drafting experience
- Minimum 5 years' AutoCAD and Revit experience, from concept through to detailed documentation
- Robust architectural detailing skills
- Detailed knowledge of the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and Australian Standards
- Understanding of the building construction process
- Ability to interpret and analyse plans and specifications
- Low and medium-density residential experience preferred
- Knowledge of graphic software beneficial but not essential
