About the role

Lamson Concepts Pty Ltd is seeking an Assistant Accountant – Month-End and Compliance to join our finance team. This is a full-time position based in Kings Park, NSW 2148. This varied role covers outsourced payroll coordination, the end-to-end month-end process and statutory compliance across our national business. The role will evolve as the business develops, with responsibilities potentially expanding over time. On the job training will be provided as required.

What you'll be doing

- Liaise with our outsourced payroll provider, check payroll calculations and reports, resolve discrepancies, complete required checks and finalise pays.

- Post approved timesheet costs to jobs in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

- Complete the end-to-end month-end process, including general ledger and bank reconciliations, WIP calculations, month-end journals, accruals and prepayments, goods in transit and depreciation calculations.

- Prepare, reconcile and lodge payroll tax calculations and returns, including annual reconciliations.

- Prepare workers compensation actual and estimated wage declarations.

- Prepare, reconcile and lodge applicable industry payments and related reports,

- Prepare, reconcile and lodge BAS, FBT returns, PAYG instalments and other assigned statutory returns, excluding company income tax returns.

- Prepare ad hoc financial reports,



investigate variances and assist with other finance tasks and reports as required.

What we're looking for

- You have an accounting degree and around two years’ relevant experience.

- You’re detail-focused, organised and able to manage recurring deadlines.

- You communicate clearly and handle confidential information with care.

- You have strong Excel skills and confidence learning finance systems. Business Central experience is an advantage.
