About the Role The School of Nursing and Midwifery are recruiting for an Associate Lecturer - Academic Clinical Coordinator to contribute to the planning, coordination and support of the clinical placement component of the School's nursing courses as a member of the Clinical Liaison Team.

This is an ideal opportunity for an academic early in their career who is interested in developing with the support and guidance of senior nursing academic staff at the university. The successful candidate will be expected to:

- Assist with the recruitment and support of casual academic clinical facilitators.
- Support the smooth operation of Skilled Experience Placements (PEP), which will include assisting with issues that may arise during PEP, and liaising with Faculty academic staff regarding PEP components of the curriculum.
- Support compliance with UTS and facility policies and procedures.
- Maintain and build relationships with external stakeholders.
- Teach, undertake student assessment and scholarly and research activities.

About You To be successful in the role, you will need to demonstrate in your application:

- High-level communication, interpersonal and cross-cultural skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships with students, academic and professional staff, clinical facilitators and external partners.
- Well-developed organisational skills, including the ability to identify priorities, coordinate activities and work effectively in a busy clinical education environment.
- Knowledge of Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council nursing education standards and the clinical assessment of nursing students using the Australian Nursing Standards Assessment Tool (ANSAT).




- Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles, models of clinical and student supervision, and their application to assessment and feedback in clinical settings.
- Experience in an academic or clinical education role in an Australian university or comparable setting, including clinical supervision, supporting students during professional experience placements, and supporting or coordinating the work of clinical facilitators or others.
- Ability to solve problems, exercise initiative within established parameters and make sound decisions, including seeking advice or escalating complex, sensitive or higher-risk matters when appropriate.

Base Salary Range: $97,955 to $119,303 per annum pro rata (Academic Level A)

This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.

This position is full time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis. A hybrid work arrangement is available which comprises of working onsite at the UTS Broadway Sydney campus with some remote working.
