About the chance We are seeking to appoint an Associate Lecturer in ICT within the School of Information and Communication Technology, part of the Sciences and Engineering Portfolio at the University of Tasmania.

The School of ICT is committed to building digital capability through high-quality, industry-informed education and impactful research. We prepare graduates with the knowledge, practical skills and professional experience to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital world, working closely with industry, government and community partners to deliver an outstanding student experience.

Our teaching is complemented by transdisciplinary research across areas including artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction and emerging digital technologies, connecting education, research and industry to address real-world challenges and create positive impact.

What you’ll do:

- Make an effective and sustained contribution to the University in achieving its strategic objectives and fulfilling its operational responsibilities.




- Undertake scholarly undergraduate and postgraduate coursework teaching of a high quality in order to meet the University’s performance expectations for Level A. Including: consultation with students, marking and assessment connected with courses taught, production of teaching materials, and development of course material with appropriate guidance from the course or program coordinator.
- Review and revise existing teaching materials and develop new teaching materials where needed (lectures, tutorials and assessments).
- Communicate and engage effectively with students, prospective students, and University staff.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of productive and effective links inside the University and locally and nationally with the discipline, relevant interdisciplinary domains, profession, industry and/or wider community

­What we’re looking for:

- Experience in University-level lecturing and tutoring within the field of expertise.
- Experience delivering high-quality teaching in transnational education (TNE) programs.
- Ability to teach across several ICT related areas and adaptability and passion to be innovative in learning and teaching pedagogy.
- A record of contributing to building and maintaining effective and productive networks with the discipline, profession, industry (where relevant) and wider community





Salary details Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level A and will have a total remuneration package of up to $125,877 pro-rata comprising base salary within the range of $83,198 to $107,587 pro-rata plus 17% superannuation.
