About the Role
As an Associate Professor in Marketing, you will provide leadership across teaching, research and service activities while contributing to the strategic direction of the Discipline, School and Faculty.
A significant focus of the role will be educational leadership through the Associate Head of School (Education and Students) portfolio, where you will drive initiatives that enhance curriculum quality, student success, teaching excellence and educational innovation.
You will work collaboratively with academic and professional colleagues to strengthen educational outcomes, support academic capability development, and ensure the School continues to deliver a high-quality student experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in teaching, learning and curriculum development across undergraduate and postgraduate programs for the School.
- Lead curriculum renewal and educational innovation, including the integration of emerging technologies,
digital transformation and artificial intelligence into contemporary education.
- Maintain a strong nationally and internationally recognised research profile, contributing impactful research outputs and collaborations.
- Lead and contribute to competitive research funding applications, industry partnerships and research initiatives.
- Provide academic leadership in education quality, assessment, assurance of learning, academic standards and student success initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor higher degree research students, early career academics and teaching staff.
- Foster strong industry and community partnerships that enhance the relevance, impact and reputation of the Marketing Discipline.
- Contribute to School, Faculty and University leadership, governance and strategic initiatives.
About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A PhD in Marketing or a closely related discipline.
- An academic profile and standing consistent with appointment at Associate Professor (Level D).
- A strong and internationally recognised research track record, including high-quality publications, research impact and success in developing collaborative research initiatives.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching, curriculum development and educational leadership within higher education.
- Experience leading initiatives related to teaching and learning, curriculum quality, student success and educational innovation.
- A successful record of higher degree research supervision, mentoring and academic staff development.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse academic and professional environments.
- A commitment to academic excellence, inclusion, collegiality and continuous improvement.
Remuneration & Benefits
Base Salary Range: $190,917 to $209,288 + Super
This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.
This position is offered on a full-time continuing basis.
