To support the continuous expansion of our business scale and optimize overall corporate operation management, we are now seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven General Manager to join our core management team and take charge of the company’s overall daily operations, project management, and business development.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the company director, the General Manager will be the core leadership role of the company. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s construction business, daily operational management, team building, project delivery, client relationship maintenance, and business growth. The successful candidate will lead the team to ensure all construction projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with Australian building codes, WHS regulations, and industry standards, while driving the company’s sustainable development and market competitiveness improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full charge of the company’s overall operational management, formulate annual business development plans, operational targets, and management systems, and supervise the full implementation to ensure the completion of corporate business goals.
- Oversee all construction project processes,
including contract signing, construction scheduling, site management, quality control, progress supervision, cost control, and final project delivery, ensuring all projects comply with Australian construction standards and WHS safety requirements.
- Lead and manage the internal team, including construction engineers, project supervisors, administrative and operational staff, optimize team workflow, improve overall team work efficiency, and establish a positive and standardized corporate management system.
- Maintain long-term and stable cooperative relationships with clients, suppliers, construction partners, and industry institutions, actively expand new business resources and project channels, and enhance the company’s market share and industry influence.
- Be responsible for company budget management, financial operation supervision, and cost optimization; control operational and project costs effectively, and improve corporate profitability.
- Solve major operational and project problems, handle emergency issues in construction and operation processes, and guarantee the stable and orderly development of the company’s business.
Essential Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma Certificate or above in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Minimum 5+ years of senior management experience, preferably in the construction industry, with practical experience in overall operations and project management of enterprises.
- In-depth understanding of Australian construction industry rules, building codes, WHS safety management systems, and relevant industry regulatory policies.
- Strong overall planning, strategic decision‑making, team leadership, and resource integration capabilities.
- Proficient in business negotiation, client maintenance and cross‑team management.
- Familiar with construction project cost control, budget management and contract management work.
- Willing to work full‑time on‑site in VIC for the long term.
- Candidates with cross‑industry senior management experience are highly considered, as professional construction technical work is covered by the company’s existing technical and subcontractor team.
- Familiar with Australian local construction market resources and project operation modes.
- Rich experience in residential and commercial construction project management.
- Strong problem‑solving ability, market insight, and business development awareness.
- Proficient in Office, project management software, and construction industry management tools.
