Bakers Delight Kotara' is seeking an enthusiastic Baker or Apprentice Baker to join our team. As a Baker/Apprentice Baker, you will be responsible for baking and contributing to the production of our high-quality breads and pastries. This is a full time role based in our Kotara, NSW bakery. Bakers Delight experience an advantage.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting the baking team with the preparation and mixing of dough and other baking ingredients
- Mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking various bread and pastry products
- Ensuring all work areas are kept clean, organised, and sanitised to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
- Developing an understanding of baking equipment operation and maintenance
- Following recipes and production schedules accurately to deliver consistent, high-quality baked goods
- Providing excellent customer service and assisting with counter sales when required
What we're looking for
- A passion for baking and a keen interest in the art of bread and pastry making
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and food safety
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with experienced bakers
- The ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- A commitment to completing a formal baking apprenticeship and obtaining a relevant qualification
