Sugar Rush by Steph is a growing HACCP-certified bakery specialising in custom cookies for corporate clients, events and celebrations Australia-wide.
We’re looking for an experienced and reliable Full-Time Baker & Cookie Decorator to join our production team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys baking, decorating and working in a fast-paced production environment.
About the role
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, mixing, rolling, cutting and baking cookies
- Following recipes and production schedules accurately
- Decorating cookies using fondant, edible prints and other decorating techniques
- Preparing fondant, colours and decorations for custom orders
- Operating commercial bakery equipment, including mixers and ovens
- Maintaining consistency across large-volume production runs
- Packing, labelling and preparing completed orders for dispatch
- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace
- Following food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures
- Working closely with our production team to meet daily deadlines
About you We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous baking, pastry or commercial kitchen experience
- Previous baking, pastry,
fondant or cookie/cake decorating experience preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Can work efficiently while maintaining consistency and quality
- Is reliable, punctual and organised
- Is comfortable with repetitive production work and standing for extended periods
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Takes pride in keeping their workspace clean and organised
- Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with deadlines
Experience in a bakery, patisserie, cake decorating or food manufacturing environment would be highly regarded.
