Blackall Range Independent School (B.R.I.S.) is seeking expressions of interest from a suitably qualified individual to join its Board.
Founded in 1975, B.R.I.S. is a non-denominational, co-educational school offering fully accredited education from Prep to Year 12. Located in the hills of Kureelpa in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, the school is committed to meeting the social, emotional and educational needs of its students within a close-knit community of learners, staff and families.
Our current Board brings together a diverse group of committed professionals, united by a shared belief in student-centred education and the long-term success of B.R.I.S. We work collaboratively and inclusively, and we are looking for someone who shares that approach.
As a Board member, you will contribute to the governance,
strategic leadership and financial management of the school, working alongside fellow directors to support the vision, mission and ethos of B.R.I.S.
We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with a background in law or legal services, prior board or governance experience will be well regarded but not essential.
Please note this is an honorary (unpaid) role. Board meetings are held monthly in the evening via online/dial-in.
