The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority is responsible for protecting and managing one of Australia’s most iconic coastal landscapes. We care for parks, reserves and marine environments along the Great Ocean Road, including internationally recognised visitor sites. Working closely with Traditional Owners, communities and stakeholders, we protect environmental, cultural and heritage values while supporting sustainable visitation and long‑term conservation.
About The Role
Join the team at GORCAPA's Kennett River & Wye River Caravan Parks and help deliver exceptional holiday experiences in one of Victoria's most picturesque coastal destinations.
As a Caravan Park Attendant, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the park. This is a hands-on, all-rounder position combining customer service, reception, cleaning, grounds maintenance and general park upkeep. No two days are the same, and you'll be part of a team dedicated to providing a welcoming, safe and well-maintained workplace for visitors.
This casual position may include weekend, public holiday and school holiday work as part of a rostered operation.
Please note - Group interviews/Assessment Days will be held soon on Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th October. Further details and information will be sent to shortlisted applicants. Alternative arrangements can be made for candidates who aren't available on those dates.
What You'll Do
- Welcome visitors and provide friendly, professional customer service.
- Assist guests with bookings, enquiries and check-ins/check-outs.
- Respond to customer questions and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain park grounds through mowing, gardening, pruning, weeding and general upkeep.
- Clean and present cabins, amenities, communal facilities and public spaces to a high standard.
- Undertake minor maintenance and handyman tasks to support park operations.
- Assist with waste management, stock handling and general site presentation.
- Follow safe work practices and contribute to a safe environment for visitors and colleagues.
What We're Looking For We're seeking a positive and reliable team member who enjoys working with people and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
You Will Bring
- Experience in customer service, hospitality, tourism, retail or similar environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A practical, hands-on approach to grounds, cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- A proactive attitude and commitment to providing a great visitor experience.
- A current First Aid Certificate (desirable).
- Experience using RMS booking software (desirable).
- Experience with safe manual handling practices and chemical use (desirable).
- A current Australian Driver Licence.
Successful applicants will be required to provide a National Police Check, Working With Children Check and evidence of Australian work rights.
