Make a difference as a Clinical Psychologist supporting people with complex needs through the Assertive Case Management Team of the Drug and Alcohol Service. Deliver specialist psychological care through an innovative community outreach model across the Central Coast underpinned by harm minimisation principles.

About The Opportunity

Join the Assertive Case Management Team, a non-acute community Drug and Alcohol service providing intensive support to people aged 18 years and over with chronic substance dependence, complex needs and co-occurring mental health or cognitive impairment. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment through an assertive outreach model, working collaboratively with clients, families, carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes. In this role you will

- Provide specialist psychological assessment, treatment and evidence-based interventions tailored to clients' needs and goals
- Deliver assertive outreach and flexible psychological support in clients' homes and centre-based settings across the Central Coast
- Provide cognitive assessment and rehabilitation, counselling and clinical recommendations for clients with complex needs and cognitive impairment
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, carers and external providers to coordinate integrated, recovery-focused care
- Provide consultation, education and training to staff and contribute to clinical research, evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

You are an experienced Clinical Psychologist who is confident working with people with complex needs and committed to delivering evidence-based, person-centred care. You will bring strong clinical judgement, communication and collaboration skills,



along with the ability to work flexibly in a community and assertive outreach setting. We are looking for someone who has

- Current registration as a psychologist with specialist endorsement in Clinical Psychology and an unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence
- Demonstrated experience in psychological assessment, treatment planning, report writing and evidence-based therapeutic interventions
- Experience working in community settings, with strong caseload management, organisational and time management skills
- Experience supporting people with substance use disorders, cognitive impairment and complex mental health needs
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and provide education, training and consultation to health professionals
