About the role
As a Chef, you will prepare, season and cook food in a busy dining environment. You will work closely with the head chef and kitchen team to deliver consistent, high-quality dishes in line with our menu and food safety standards.
Key duties
Prepare and cook food according to recipes, menus and special requests.
Season food during cooking to achieve consistent flavour and presentation.
Store food safely in temperature-controlled facilities in line with HACCP and food safety guidelines.
Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements (e.g. gluten-free, dairy-free, allergies).
Assist with menu planning and estimating food requirements as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen and comply with all WHS and hygiene standards.
What we’re looking for
Minimum qualification: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
Experience: At least 1 year of full time (or equivalent) experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen (dining and/or catering establishment).
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced,
high-volume kitchen.
Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and temperature control.
Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude.
