Host Safety and Training (RTO 40772) is part of the Parabellum International Group, a National leader in Emergency Response, Medical, Safety, and Risk Management services. Together, our group delivers accredited and non-accredited training programs designed for high-risk, industrial, mining, oil & gas, and construction environments.
We operate state-of-the-art training facilities across Australia — including Sunshine Coast, Gladstone, Darwin and Perth.
As we continue to grow our national footprint, we are seeking experienced and motivated Civil Construction & High-Risk Trainers to deliver high-quality training and assessment programs across a range of high-risk work and safety courses.
This is an excellent opportunity for industry professionals with strong practical experience and a passion for developing workforce skills within the civil construction sector.
Courses to be Delivered
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space Entry
- Gas Test Atmospheres
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Under 11m
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and compliant training programs
- Conduct practical and theory-based assessments
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation
- Ensure training is delivered in line with current industry standards and legislation
- Provide mentoring and support to participants
- Promote a strong safety culture
Essential Requirements
- Current qualifications and competency in:
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space Entry
- Gas Test Atmospheres
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Under 11 Metres
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or
- TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or
- A secondary teaching qualification and one of the following credentials:
- TAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set, or
- TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor, or
- TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skills Set or its successor, or
- A Diploma of higher-level qualification in adult education or vocational education and training
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
- Relevant industry experience in civil construction, mining, resources, infrastructure, or utilities
- Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills
- Experience delivering nationally recognised training
- Vocational competency at least to the level being delivered and assessed
- Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and assessment
Trainer/Assessor Responsibilities
- Ensure all accredited training and assessment practices comply with SRTOs 2025, relevant RTO requirements, and organisational policies
- Participate in assessment validation activities to ensure quality and consistency
- Ensure all non-accredited training, deliver and assess in accordance with organisational policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date training and assessment documentation
- Support learners throughout the training process, providing guidance and feedback
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of training and assessment resources
- Undertake ongoing professional development to maintain industry currency, vocational competency, and compliance with RTO obligations
