Civil / Project Engineers – Main Roads WA Projects

Milo Geotechnical is seeking experienced Civil and Project Engineers to support the delivery of major Main Roads Western Australia road and bridge infrastructure projects across the Perth metropolitan area.
These are full time, site-based opportunities for experienced engineers with a strong background in road construction and infrastructure delivery.
Successful candidates will join established project delivery teams, taking responsibility for the planning, coordination and delivery of defined construction work packages.
Current project requirements are anticipated to continue through to late 2027, providing an excellent opportunity for long-term project involvement.
The Role
You will be responsible for coordinating and delivering assigned construction packages, working closely with engineering, supervision, construction, commercial and subcontractor teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, subcontractors and vendors
- Develop construction methodologies, staging, resourcing and short-term programmes
- Ensure designs, approvals, procurement, work packs and quality documentation are in place before construction commences
- Monitor progress, cost, productivity, risk and package performance
- Manage technical, commercial and construction interfaces
- Ensure works comply with project scope, drawings, specifications and approved management plans
- Coordinate activities with Site Superintendents, Package Managers and the broader project team
- Identify and manage construction constraints, risks and emerging issues
- Provide clear and timely reporting on package performance and delivery
- Support the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of project works
About You To be considered, you will have:
- A recognised Civil Engineering degree or related engineering qualification
- A minimum of 5 years' engineering experience associated with the road construction industry
- Relevant private-sector engineering and project delivery experience
- Demonstrated experience in urban roads, rural roads, bridges, tunnels, rail or marine infrastructure
- Experience in the planning, design and/or construction of major roads and highways
- Strong construction planning, coordination and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with contractors, subcontractors, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and technical reporting capability
- A sound understanding of construction safety, quality, risk, programme and project controls
Previous experience delivering Main Roads WA projects, together with familiarity with Main Roads standards, specifications and procedures, will be highly regarded.

- Potential to work additional hours, up to 120 hours per fortnight, depending on project requirements
