ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for an experienced Civil Works Supervisor to oversee daily site operations across Sydney. You’ll lead crews and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and resources to ensure works are delivered safely, on schedule and to the required quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Supervise civil works, including concrete, drainage, excavation, kerbs and gutters, and roadworks.
- Plan daily activities and coordinate labour, plant, materials and deliveries.
- Lead site crews and subcontractors, providing clear direction and monitoring progress.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and work programs.
- Conduct pre-starts and toolbox talks and ensure compliance with SWMS and site safety requirements.
- Monitor workmanship, coordinate quality inspections and ensure works meet project specifications.
- Maintain site diaries, progress reports and relevant site documentation.




- Coordinate traffic control requirements and maintain safe access around work areas.
- Communicate with clients, council representatives, suppliers and the project team.
- Identify and resolve site issues promptly while maintaining a clean, organised and secure workplace.

ABOUT YOU

- Proven experience as a Civil Works Supervisor, Site Supervisor or Foreman.
- Strong practical knowledge of civil construction, particularly concrete works, drainage, excavation and roadworks.
- Experience leading crews and managing subcontractors and site resources.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Ability to interpret plans and specifications and maintain accurate site records.
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant qualifications in civil construction, engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Valid White Card and driver’s licence, with the ability to work across Sydney.
- Traffic control or plant operation tickets are an advantage.
- Experience delivering government, commercial or industrial civil projects is highly regarded.
