Permanent full-time Clinical Nurse Consultant opportunity in Logan Central, providing advanced clinical leadership and specialist mental health nursing expertise within the Child and Youth Mental Health Service.

Your new role

As a Clinical Nurse Consultant, You'll Provide Advanced Clinical Leadership And Specialist Expertise To Support Secure, High-quality, Person-centred Care For Young People And Their Families, Working Closely With The Multidisciplinary Team To

- Provide advanced clinical assessment, advice and nursing care within the Child and Youth Mental Health specialty.
- Coordinate referrals and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, patients, carers and other stakeholders.
- Provide clinical leadership, mentoring, education and support to nursing and healthcare teams.
- Promote evidence-based practice, quality improvement, clinical governance and contemporary mental health nursing.
- Use expert clinical judgement, critical thinking and advanced problem-solving to improve patient outcomes.
- Support service innovation, research, clinical redesign and workforce development.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative practice environment focused on safe and person-centred care.

About You We're looking for an experienced mental health nurse who can bring advanced clinical expertise, leadership and a commitment to positive outcomes, with:

- Advanced knowledge, skills and competence in mental health nursing practice.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality, person-centred clinical care.
- Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration,



negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Experience supporting education, mentoring, coaching and professional development.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, research and continuous quality improvement.
- The ability to work effectively with young people, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a relevant tertiary nursing qualification.
