Set directly on Catseye Beach, Beach Club is Hamilton Island's adults-only boutique resort, offering an intimate restaurant experience overlooking the Coral Sea. The restaurant showcases contemporary Australian cuisine with seasonal and locally sourced produce, bringing together premium seafood, quality proteins and native Australian ingredients.
We're looking for a qualified Commis Chef to join the Beach Club kitchen. This is a great opportunity for a developing chef with à la carte experience who wants to refine their skills in a premium boutique hotel restaurant, working with quality produce and learning from an experienced culinary team.

What you'll be doing
You'll work hands-on across preparation and service, supporting your section and senior chefs to deliver Beach Club's contemporary Australian menu consistently to a high standard.
You'll gain experience preparing premium seafood and proteins,
seasonal produce and native Australian ingredients while developing your modern cooking and plating techniques. You'll also build the organisation, consistency and attention to detail required to succeed in a premium à la carte kitchen.
What we're looking for
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Essential)
- Previous experience working in a commercial à la carte restaurant kitchen
- Experience with Up-to-date Australian or contemporary cuisine highly regarded
- Experience preparing seafood, proteins and seasonal produce
- An interest in working with premium and native Australian ingredients
- Strong foundation in modern food preparation, cooking and plating techniques
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine willingness to learn and develop
