About the role

- Site-based WHSE role working across two to three civil projects

- Based in the site office, working closely with project teams, supervisors and crews

- Reports directly to the Head of Safety

- Role is adaptable and can be shaped around a junior or senior candidate, with pay to match experience

Key responsibilities

- Implement, maintain and improve site safety systems and documentation

- Manage workers' compensation claims from lodgement through to return to work

- Maintain training registers and ensure workforce tickets and inductions are current

- Conduct site inspections, audits, incident investigations and toolbox talks

- Review SWMS, risk assessments and permits

- Support compliance with WHS legislation and client (tier one) requirements

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers and supervisors across all sites

- Where capable,



assist with technical construction matters to help keep projects moving (desirable, not essential)

Essential

- Qualification in WHS (e.g. Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS, or working towards)

- Asbestos Awareness

- Silica Awareness

- White Card (General Construction Induction)

- Strong communication skills and ability to work with site crews and management alike

- Current driver's licence

Highly regarded

- Experience managing WHSE in civil construction

- On-site civil experience

- Experience with workers' compensation and injury management

- Experience working on tier one projects

What's on offer

- $90,000 to $125,000 + super, depending on experience
