ABOUT THE ROLE
As Community Wellbeing Coordinator, the position leads, governs and supports the Community Wellbeing team to strengthen health and wellbeing outcomes for the Southern Grampians Shire community. The role contributes to effective, responsive and sustainable service delivery by developing services, strengthening operational functions and building workforce capability The role has a primary focus on health and wellbeing planning, advocacy and municipal-level responses that drive evidence-informed, place-based change. It achieves this by developing key partnerships and fostering collaboration, capability and accountability The position also ensures the viability and effective operation of Children’s Services and Maternal and Child Health Services through coordinated day-to-day operations and professional practice leadership In this role, you will:

service delivery or a related field, and bring experience leading teams, managing projects and delivering strategic initiatives. You are organised, adaptable and solutions focused, and you value working with others to create positive, lasting outcomes for the community.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Lead the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan and associated actions, aligned with Council strategy and legislative obligations
- Lead inclusive community development initiatives that strengthen participation, connection, belonging, local leadership, service access and resilience
- Build strategic partnerships and networks across government, health, Aboriginal and community-controlled organisations, education, primary care and community sectors
- Monitor compliance, risk, quality, workforce capacity and performance across Maternal and Child Health, Family Day Care and Occasional Care, ensuring legislative, funding, Child Safe Standards and Council requirements are met
- Lead and develop direct reports through transparent work planning, supervision, feedback, professional development and performance review
- Maintain effective planning, reporting, risk, records, evaluation and continuous-improvement systems,
and contribute to departmental leadership
ABOUT YOU:
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or substantial relevant experience in public health, health promotion, community development, social policy, social sciences, human services or a related field
- Demonstrated leadership experience in community health, wellbeing, inclusion, equity, social planning or community development
- Experience in local government or another complex public-sector or community-service environment is desirable
- Experience overseeing regulated early-years, family or health services is desirable
- Current Working with Children Check, or capacity to obtain and maintain one
- Current Victorian driver’s license, or ability to travel across the municipality as required
- Working knowledge of budgeting and financial monitoring
