The Natural Grocery Company are on the lookout for a motivated, driven, and detail-oriented Database Administrator to join our vibrant team on a permanent part time basis – based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

In this exciting support role within our business, you will be the backbone of our data integrity, managing accurate product, vendor, pricing, and promotional data in Business Central. By supporting our stores, Finance, Merchandise, Marketing, and external tech partners, you will directly influence our operational success, ensure seamless day-to-day processes, and help shape the efficiency of our entire network.

Hours and days? Good question! We have ability for someone to work 4 days per week (Monday to Thursday), or 5 days per week, working lessor hours to create that extra work life balance. Overall, this role will be approx. 30 hours per week.

Reporting directly to our Accounts Payable Manager, this critical role is designed for an energetic,



detail-focused professional capable of providing exceptional data integrity outcomes and operational support to our store and support office teams.

What you will do:

- Master Data & Pricing Management: Create and maintain product, barcode, vendor, and category records in Business Central. Process approved cost/sell price changes, validate updates, and investigate discrepancies.
- New Lines & Promotions: Prepare and load new products using approved templates. Set up promotional pricing and coordinate with Merchandise and Marketing to support pre-live testing.
- Store & Vendor Support: Respond to database and Business Central queries from stores (including shelf labels/pricing). Resolve supplier queries and work with Finance to correct cost or invoice data.
- System Troubleshooting & Monitoring: Monitor scheduled jobs and critical data flows, investigate processing errors, and coordinate resolutions with internal teams and external IT support.
- Data Quality & Continuous Improvement: Perform regular compliance checks for duplicate or inconsistent records. Maintain up-to-date procedures, training notes, and checklists for support office users.

What you will bring:

- Industry Experience: At least 3+ years’ experience in a high-volume retail, inventory, merchandise, database administration, or systems-support environment.
- System Knowledge:



Practical understanding of retail inventory, purchasing, receiving, stock adjustments, and transfers. Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, LS Central, and Business Central is highly preferred.
- Advanced Excel Skills: Expertise in handling large datasets, including lookups, pivot tables, data validation, and reconciliation. Experience with Power BI or configuration packages is highly regarded.
- Work Ethic & Mindset: Impeccable attention to detail, strong self-discipline, and the ability to work accurately under pressure to meet tight pricing and promotion cut-off dates.
- Service Orientation: A collaborative, professional, and approachable communication style when dealing with stores, suppliers, and external tech partners.
