Are you a compassionate and motivated Dental Assistant looking for a permanent part-time position in a friendly, professional environment?

Rockingham Dental Centre is an independent, family-owned dental practice that has proudly cared for the Rockingham community for more than 60 years. We’re not a chain or a corporate practice — we’re a busy, established 9-chair practice with a clinical team of 9 Dentists and 6 Hygienists/Therapists.

Our clinicians work across staggered sessions, creating a busy but well-organised practice where rosters can work around real lives.

About the role

We’re looking for a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our patient-focused practice.

Whether you’re an experienced Dental Assistant or have recently completed your qualification, this is an opportunity to become part of a warm and supportive team where your skills, professionalism and genuine care for patients are valued.

Key responsibilities

- Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures




- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and materials in accordance with infection control protocols
- Provide exceptional care and support to patients before, during and after treatment
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
- Perform sterilisation and disinfection of instruments and equipment
- Help ensure the smooth and efficient running of the practice
- Work collaboratively with dentists, hygienists, therapists and the wider practice team

What we’re looking for

Essential:

- Certificate III & Certificate IV in Dental Assisting

Desirable / bonus experience:

- Experience using CareStack Practice Management Software
- Experience assisting with dental implants and/or All-on-4 (AO4) treatment
- Previous experience working in a busy dental practice
- Local knowledge or connection to the Rockingham community

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who:
- Genuinely enjoys caring for patients, particularly those who may be nervous or anxious about dental treatment
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is organised, reliable, detail-oriented and proactive
- Takes pride in maintaining high standards of infection control and patient care




- Is confident working independently while also being a supportive team member
- Brings a positive, professional and caring attitude to work

Availability This is a permanent part-time role for 3 to 4 days.

Saturday:

- Every second Saturday, if required: 8:00am–1:30pm (5.5 hours, no lunch)
