About the role

As a Design Manager at Mono Constructions, you will lead the design process from early concept through construction and handover, coordinating clients, consultants, architects and internal project teams to achieve compliant, buildable and well-resolved design outcomes. Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager, you will manage the design process across the full project development and construction lifecycle, with a focus on large Class 2 residential projects.

Key responsibilities

- Manage the design process from concept through to construction and handover

- Translate client objectives into clear design briefs, programmes and deliverables

- Coordinate and manage the performance of architects, consultants and key design stakeholders

- Oversee Development Applications, Construction Certificates and design approvals

- Ensure design documentation complies with the NCC, relevant standards and project requirements

- Identify and resolve design, coordination and buildability issues early

- Lead and support design team members in line with Mono's FRANK values

- Drive continuous improvement and capture lessons learned across projects

- Support project teams through Occupation Certificate and final handover

About you





- Experienced in design management across the full project development and construction lifecycle

- Proven experience delivering large Class 2 residential projects valued at $30M+

- Strong experience managing consultants, design coordination, approvals and compliance

- Qualifications in Design Management, Project Management, Architecture or a related discipline
