Your opportunity The Digital Producer and Designer will play a key role in shaping SCU’s digital presence by managing website content requests, marketing campaigns and landing pages. The role works alongside fellow Digital Producer and Designers within the Digital team, managing web content updates and developing marketing and campaign-specific digital assets. Joining the team at an exciting time in the University's digital strategy and roadmap evolution, you will contribute to initiatives that enhance the digital experience, strengthen AI discoverability, and shape how future students, staff and community members interact with Southern Cross University online.

The position works with stakeholders from all areas of the University, playing a vital role ensuring an engaging, high-performing digital experience. This position offers a chance to refine your technical skills (with on-the-job training and development provided), while driving creative digital projects.

You will make an impact by:

- Creating and implementing digital solutions for campaigns and projects on the Southern Cross website
- Managing University website content requests and working with stakeholders to execute briefs, focusing on website usability and user experience
- Building capability in Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), and applying these skills to enhance the University’s digital experience and AI discoverability




- Contributing to the ongoing enhancement of the University's digital experience through emerging technologies, digital innovation and user-centred design principles.
- CMS (Terminal 4) management providing training and collaborating with the University’s website author community to maintain consistent, high-quality digital content
- Using digital performance data and insights to inform improvements across digital channels, working collaboratively with content, marketing and design teams to maintain brand consistency and tone of voice

What You Will Bring You’re a creative digital professional with a passion for building and optimising engaging and high-impact digital experiences. To succeed in this role, you will also need:

- A relevant degree and at least three years’ experience in a digital design or digital media role, or equivalent experience.

- Demonstrated ability to take digital projects from concept to delivery, aligned with style guides where appropriate.
- Project skills, including successfully engaging stakeholders, prioritising, managing timelines, delivering training, and producing high-quality, innovative, relevant content.
- An appetite for continuous learning and skilled growth, with enthusiasm for developing new skills in AI, search, digital experience and emerging technologies as the digital landscape evolves.
- Skills or experience across systems and programs such as Site Improve, Google Analytics, and the Microsoft suite of programs.

Experience with CSS, JotForm, CRM systems or JavaScript would be advantageous but is not essential.

Experience with Terminal 4 (T4) would also be highly regarded; however, training can be provided. If you don’t have experience in these areas but still think you would be a excellent fit, we still encourage you to apply.

Your opportunity is

- Full-time, fixed term (8 months)
- Located at either Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450, Gold Coast, QLD 4225, or Lismore, NSW 2480. Relocation assistance is available, making it easier to join our regional communities
- HEW Level 6. The base salary ranges from $98,840 - $108,408 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $126,837.
