Falcon 7X Captain / Business Operations Pilot

Belair Jet Management is seeking an experienced, commercially minded Falcon 7X type-rated pilot to join our international charter operation.

This is not a traditional flying-only position. We are looking for a command-ready pilot who combines strong operational capability with demonstrated experience contributing to the broader functions of an aviation business.

The successful candidate will operate the Falcon 7X across a diverse international network while also bringing proven capability in at least one complementary business area such as Charter Sales, Finance, Flight Operations, Dispatch, Operational Support or a related commercial function.

The Role

As a Falcon 7X Captain, you will be responsible for the safe, compliant and professional operation of the aircraft across domestic and international charter missions.

Our operation requires pilots who are comfortable operating beyond familiar or repetitive route structures. Candidates must therefore have substantial experience conducting diverse international operations, including operating into unfamiliar airports and managing the operational, regulatory and logistical considerations associated with international business aviation.

When not flying, you will be expected to make a meaningful contribution to the wider business. The particular area of responsibility will be aligned with the successful candidate's demonstrated skills and previous experience.

Potential areas include

- Charter Sales and Commercial Support — responding to charter opportunities, assessing operational feasibility, supporting quotations and working with brokers and clients.
- Finance and Commercial Administration — cost control, invoice review, budgeting, operational expenditure analysis or related financial functions.




- Flight Operations and Dispatch — international flight planning, permits, handling, fuel, performance, operational risk assessment and trip coordination.
- Operational and Business Support — assisting management with projects, systems, procedures, regulatory requirements and continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on role within a growing operation. We are specifically looking for someone who wants to contribute to the success of the business rather than limiting their involvement to flying duties.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must

- Currently hold a Falcon 7X type rating.
- Hold an Australian ATPL(A), or an overseas ATPL capable of satisfying applicable CASA licensing and validation/conversion requirements.
- Meet or exceed the aeronautical experience requirements applicable to an Australian ATPL(A).
- Be suitably experienced and qualified for appointment and operation as Pilot in Command.
- Hold the appropriate current instrument and medical qualifications required for the operation.
- Have substantial multi-crew turbine aircraft experience.
- Demonstrate significant experience in diverse international operations, rather than predominantly domestic or repetitive-route flying.
- Be comfortable operating within the dynamic environment of international business aviation and charter operations.
- Have demonstrated qualified experience outside normal flight deck duties.





Business Experience A key selection criterion is the ability to contribute to the organisation beyond flying.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate, through measurable previous performance, successful experience in one or more relevant business functions.

Examples may include

- revenue generated or charter opportunities converted;
- demonstrated sales or client-development performance;
- budgets or expenditure managed;
- identifiable cost reductions or efficiency improvements;
- dispatch or operational-support performance;
- improvements to aircraft utilisation or charter responsiveness;
- development or implementation of operational systems or processes;
- regulatory, compliance or operational projects successfully delivered; or
- leadership responsibilities with demonstrable organisational outcomes.

Simply having been exposed to these functions will not be sufficient. We are interested in candidates who can explain what they were responsible for, what they achieved and how their contribution can be measured.

What We Are Looking For The right person will combine the judgement and professionalism expected of a Falcon 7X Captain with a practical, commercially aware approach to business aviation.

You should be equally comfortable preparing for a complex international mission, working with operations to resolve a time-critical charter requirement, reviewing an operational cost issue or contributing to a commercial opportunity.

We value people who take ownership, communicate well, solve problems and understand that a successful charter operation depends on considerably more than what happens on the flight deck.

Falcon 7X type rating is a mandatory prerequisite. Applications from pilots who are not currently Falcon 7X type rated will not be considered.
