The role The key role of the Support Worker is to provide support to NDIS funded participants with challenging behaviours and restrictive practices, promoting choice and control and assisting participants in achieving their personal goals.

Duties performed will be based around client needs and may vary.

We are looking for a team of staff who are available to work in the Blacktown area. Shifts include morning, day and evening including active overnight.

Must have experience in providing positive behavioural support approaches The ideal candidate will need:

- Availability to work shifts across the week
- Experience providing service to individuals with challenging behaviours and restrictive practices
- Enthusiasm, empathy, and self-motivated to work towards providing the best outcomes for the people we are supporting




- Work together with a team of support staff

Experience working with people with a Mental Illness and Disability.

- Ability to be flexible within your work environment and to work as part of a team
- A high level of written and verbal communication skills
- Smart Phone and Internet Access
- Experience, ability and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life of persons with disabilities
- Enthusiasm to provide a stimulating home for adults living with disability
- Capacity to identify and manage risk to ensure safety for all

Qualifications

- 1+years paid experience supporting people with disability/mental health (Preferred)
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate or willing to obtain
- WWCC
- NDIS worker screening or willing to obtain.
- Valid Manual Handling Certificate or willing to obtain
- Working rights within Australia
- Must have a Valid Driver’s License and vehicle

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $36.00 – $55.00 per hour
