About the role

Platinum Support Foundation is seeking compassionate and dedicated people to join our team in Port Macquarie, NSW. This is a casual position that will provide you with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for assisting NDIS participants with their daily living activities, supporting their independence, and promoting their overall wellbeing.

What you'll be doing

- Providing personal care assistance, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Helping clients with meal preparation, feeding, and medication management
- Facilitating community engagement and participation to build skills, capacity and achieve life goals
- Accompanying participants to appointments and outings, providing transportation as needed
- Documenting participant progress and updates in accordance with organisational policies
- Upholding participants rights and ensuring their safety and comfort
- Collaborating with the broader care team to implement and monitor client care plans

What we're looking for

- Dedicated, compassionate and reliable individuals who can work a variety of shift types and lengths (mornings/aftermoons + weekends)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and their families
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities




- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following established protocols and procedures
- Some previous experience in disability support is preferred for this role

To work with us you wil need to have:

- Valid and current Drivers Licence;
- Current First Aid Certificate;
- Two satisfactory qualified reference checks
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (or evidence of application in progress)
- Valid Working with Children Check
- National Police Check
- Proof of right to work in Australia
