The practice advises government bodies, property developers, infrastructure clients and private organisations on a diverse range of planning, environmental and development matters. An exciting opportunity has become available for a lawyer to join a thriving Planning & Environment practice. Working with highly regarded practitioners, you will gain exposure to a broad mix of advisory, transactional and dispute-related matters, supporting clients across both the public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing strategic advice to government agencies, developers and private sector clients on planning, environmental and land use matters.
- Assisting clients through development approval processes, regulatory issues, enforcement proceedings and planning disputes.
- Conducting and managing litigation matters in relevant courts and tribunals.
- Preparing, reviewing and negotiating agreements,
project documents and other legal instruments relating to major developments and infrastructure projects.
- Delivering practical and commercially focused advice on complex planning and environmental issues.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- 3+ years' post-admission experience in Environment & Planning law within a reputable private practice firm.
- Well-developed technical skills, including legal research, drafting and the preparation of detailed advice.
- Experience advising on planning, environmental and development-related matters.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- A proactive approach to client service and building long-term professional relationships.
