Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to begin or further develop your career in aviation? Our Esperance team provides ground handling services for Rex Airlines, offering a diverse and dynamic working environment where no two days are the same.

This role will initially focus on learning and confidently performing either Customer Service Officer duties or Ramp operations. Once you have successfully completed your training and are competent in the role, there will be opportunities to further develop your skills by undertaking training on the other side of the operation.

We are looking for people with a passion for aviation, a commitment to safety and a desire to learn. We have a strong focus on staff progression and will always strive to recruit internally for higher roles. This includes Supervisory and Managerial positions.

Full training is provided, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career in the aviation industry.

Tasks during a shift include:

- Baggage and freight makeup;

- Able to safely perform manual handling, being physically fit;

- Operation of a wide range of powered and non-powered airport equipment;

- Loading and offloading aircraft holds;

- Aircraft marshalling and dispatch;

- Operating aeronautical radio systems;

- Passenger check-in and boarding gate operations;

- Preparation of manifests, flight documentation, and freight manifests;

- Assisting passengers with special requirements to and from the aircraft;

- Cabin cleaning;

About You

- Able to obtain an ASIC (requires a federal police background check);

- Able to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol test.

- Fluent in spoken English;

- Current State Drivers Licence & Reliable transport to and from Esperance Airport;





- Willing and able to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and public holidays.

- Ability to work with minimal direction, displaying initiative and motivation, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and in full detail; and be a participative and supportive team member;

- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills;

- Ability to think strategically and handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy;
