Reporting to the Manager, Office of the Chief Executive, the Executive Officer will provide high-quality, confidential and responsive support to the Chief Executive, Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer. You will coordinate complex diaries, meetings, events and travel; prepare correspondence, reports, presentations and briefing materials; undertake research; monitor financial processing; and ensure actions and priorities are progressed within demanding timeframes.
Working across the Department, Ministerial offices, other government agencies and external stakeholders, you will build trusted relationships and maintain effective communication channels. You will anticipate emerging issues, exercise sound judgement,
coordinate politically sensitive advice and projects, and improve business processes. A key focus will be strengthening collaboration among executive support staff and contributing to a professional team in a quick paced organisation.
You will bring demonstrated experience delivering senior-level executive support in a complex environment, together with exceptional organisation, discretion and attention to detail. Your communication skills will enable you to influence, negotiate and manage sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy. Knowledge of the machinery of government and Parliamentary, Cabinet and Ministerial processes along with motivation to succeed as a team will be well regarded.
