Role Description The Experienced Civil Works Supervisor will oversee day-to-day site operations across civil construction projects in Sydney, NSW, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification. This full-time, on-site role includes coordinating site teams and subcontractors, organizing materials and equipment, and maintaining high standards of workmanship, cleanliness, and efficiency. The supervisor will monitor quality control, ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company procedures, and implement effective traffic management and safety practices.





Responsibilities also include liaising with clients, engineers, and project managers, resolving site issues, and providing clear communication and reporting on progress, risks, and resource needs. The role requires active presence on site, proactive problem-solving, and consistent leadership to support both project outcomes and worker wellbeing.

Qualifications

- Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, task allocation, and performance monitoring.
- Proven experience in site supervision and on-site coordination within civil construction or related fields.
- Competence in quality control, including inspection of works, adherence to specifications, and documentation of compliance.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, stakeholders, and site personnel and for preparing transparent reports.
- Experience with civil works such as concrete, drainage, excavation, kerbs and gutters, and roadworks.
- Solid understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and traffic management on civil construction sites.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and project documentation.
- Current driver’s license; relevant construction safety card and supervisor-level certifications are highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, manage deadlines, and maintain professionalism under pressure.
