At Monash Health, our Lived & Living Experience Workforce plays an incredibly important role in how we support consumers, families and carers across our mental health services.

The knowledge that comes from lived and living experience brings a perspective that clinical expertise alone cannot provide. It helps us listen differently, strengthen family-inclusive practice and ensure the voices of consumers, families and carers are genuinely part of recovery-oriented care.

We're currently looking for a Level 4 Family/Carer Peer Worker to join our HOPE Team, based in Narre Warren.

This is a designated lived experience role for someone who brings their own experience of caring for a family member through mental ill health and recovery, together with experience working in the lived experience workforce.

As a Level 4 Peer Worker,



you'll use that experience purposefully to support families and carers navigating some incredibly challenging moments - helping them find their voice, understand the mental health system and be meaningfully included in treatment and recovery planning.

You'll also have the prospect to support and mentor other Family/Carer Peer Workers, provide reflective supervision and contribute to the continued development of family/carer peer practice.
