About the role We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of our vibrant retirement village. In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure the financial sustainability of the village, manage budgets and reporting, and support the delivery of high-quality services to our residents.

As the Finance Manager, you will:

- Lead end-to-end finance operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Provide comprehensive financial reports to Management and the Board on all aspects of the organisation.
- Support the CEO undertake business case analysis and financial modelling projections for strategic planning.
- Responsible for management of Accounts Payable; Accounts Receivable; Cash Management; General Ledger; Payroll; GST; BAS; Bank accounts; Budgets; Cash Flows; and ensuring proper internal controls are in place.
- Responsible for oversight and management of the annual audit program.
- Responsible for the production of financial statements and settlement calculations for Unit sales.
- Responsible for the management and maintenance of all finance related software.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and organisational policies.
- Complies with the organisation’s systems, policies, procedures, and practices, with a constant objective of continuous improvement.

About you To join us, you will need:

- All Ocean Gardens staff must satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation and Ocean Gardens policies.
- CA/CPA qualified.
- Prior leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end accounting, tax, and compliance functions in a small to medium-sized business.
- Highly effective communication skills (verbal, written and presentational).
- Well-developed planning and organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- High level of computer literacy including computerised accounting packages and MS Office products.
- Previous experience with Xero and Employment hero is desirable but not essential.
