The Financial Management and Property Services Branch is seeking a number of APS6 Finance Officers to work across the Financial Accounting, Financial Management and Property Services Teams. These roles provide an opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high quality financial, governance, policy and operational outcomes in a complex government environment.

Successful candidates will undertake complex and varied work, provide expert advice and support, and contribute to effective financial stewardship, reporting, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives. The roles require robust financial, analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, sound judgement, and the ability to manage competing priorities while delivering accurate, timely and high quality outcomes.

Candidates will build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and support informed decision making that contributes to the achievement of departmental priorities.

- provide accurate, timely and practical advice to stakeholders on financial accounting, budgeting, policy, governance,



operational or business matters within own area of responsibility
- analyse information, identify risks, issues and trends, and develop practical solutions to support informed decision making and business outcomes
- interpret and apply relevant legislation, accounting standards, policies, frameworks and procedures to ensure compliance, maintain quality deliverables and support effective governance outcomes
- develop productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, collaborate across teams, and effectively manage stakeholder expectations to achieve shared outcomes
- research, prepare and quality assure reports, briefing materials, correspondence and other written products that are clear, concise and fit for purpose
- manage competing priorities, monitor deliverables, contribute to planning activities, and identify opportunities to improve business processes, controls and service delivery outcomes.
