About the Role
Working within a small and collaborative team, you will be responsible for:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Bank reconciliations
- Resident account management
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Following-up outstanding accounts
- Assisting with finance-related enquiries
- Supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the village
Retirement village accounting is a specialized area that extends beyond standard accounts administration.
The successful applicant will develop an understanding of retirement village operations and legislation, making this a varied, engaging and rewarding role for an experienced finance professional who enjoys applying their skills in a unique environment.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a finance, accounts or bookkeeping role
- Strong Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience
- Experience performing reconciliations with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to work autonomously and manage your workload effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, professional approach and willingness to work collaboratively within a small team
- Experience with Xero software and Microsoft Office applications
