Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented lawyer to join the team and work closely with recognised leaders in the financial regulatory space. This role offers a diverse mix of advisory, transactional and regulatory work, together with significant client contact and excellent long-term career prospects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising financial institutions, fintech businesses and payment providers on regulatory and compliance obligations.
- Providing guidance on financial services laws, licensing requirements, consumer credit regulations and anti-money laundering obligations.
- Assisting clients with the launch of new financial products, digital platforms and creative technology-driven services.
- Advising on regulatory investigations, compliance reviews and interactions with key regulators.
- Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements,
including technology, payments and financial services arrangements.
- Supporting business development initiatives and building strong relationships with a sophisticated client base.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 3+ years' PAE in financial services regulation, fintech, banking & finance or commercial law gained within a reputable private practice environment.
- Experience advising on financial services regulatory frameworks and compliance matters.
- Strong technical, drafting and problem-solving skills.
- A commercial mindset and the ability to deliver practical, risk-based advice.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence managing client relationships.
- An interest in emerging technologies, digital innovation and the evolving regulatory landscape.
