Employal Recruitment has an existing opportunity for Food Packers who are enthusiastic, reliable, and looking for work in Botany.
These roles are offered on a coverage basis, ideal for candidates who are adaptable.
Available Coverage Shifts & Pay Rates:
- Morning Shift: 6:30AM – 2:30PM - $33.05 per hour
- Afternoon Shift: 2:30PM - 10:30PM - $38.01 per hour
Must be available to work across different shifts based on weekly requirements.
We have two types of jobs available and the duties may involve the following:
Cool room packer
- Making boxes
- Packing finished/packaged food items into boxes
- Working in a cool room environment (4 - 8) degrees
- Some light-medium lifting is involved
Production Line Operator
- Working in a cool room environment of 8 degrees
- Working on a food production line
- Handling & picking raw ingredients eg rice, chicken, vegetables, spices
- Cleaning of work area & maintaining hygiene and safety standards
- Labelling orders
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience, and attributes:
- Full working rights (Monday to Friday Weekends)
- Flexible to work morning or afternoon.
- Comfortable working in a cool room environment 3 or 8 degrees
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable lifting 15kg and above (for cool room packer)
- Experience in or food-handling (hospitality or manufacturing) or willingness to learn
- Contactable work references
- Functional assessment and ongoing drug and alcohol testing
