Key responsibilities
- The Clinical Mental Health Nurse is accountable for delivering high-quality mental health care to children, adolescents and families through assessment, counselling and education, while ensuring safe practice, collaboration, staff support, quality improvement and policy alignment.
- Ensure services are delivered in a culturally responsive manner.
- Contributes to consumer recovery and optimal mental health outcomes.
- Supports, guides and educates other staff using clinical expertise.
What you need
- Registered or eligible for registration as a nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice.
