Jackwitz Farms grow a variety of crops all year round from Broccoli and Cauliflower in the winter to Pumpkins and Watermelons in the summer. All our produce is planted from seeds and seedlings, fertilized, harvested, packed and sent to our customers fresh from our farms and packing sheds. We strive to grow produce to the highest quality which is continually monitored by our agronomist.
We are investing in our future operations and need to expand the capacity of our packing and delivery operations. Opportunities exist for experienced Fork Lift Drivers to join our team.
You will be required to operate forklifts to move bulk produce and to assist in loading trucks for delivery.
- Operating controls to align forklifts and raise and lower forks to stack and unstack items in the packing shed, coldrooms & trailers.
- Transporting produce to designated areas in the packing sheds, coldrooms and to loading areas.
- Monitoring equipment operation visually through gauges and instruments and through computerized monitoring equipment.
- Inspecting and controlling equipment to identify wear and damage.
- Servicing and performing minor repairs and adjustments to forklifts
