Freelance Senior Producer, immediate start (Sydney)

www.productiongroup.com.au

Production Group is a Sydney production company that makes high-quality video and stills for brands, agencies, not-for-profits and broadcasters. We shoot about two days a week, all over Australia. We're known for delivering on time, on budget and to a very high standard.

This is an in-person role in Newtown. Sorry, no remote opportunities on this one.

We need an experienced freelancer to step in from mid-October, with a handover week before 24 October, and to stay through to at least the end of November, with the likely option of extending.

What you'll be doing

- Picking up a live slate that includes TVC-style campaign content, charity and NFP films, social series, event coverage and branded edits for agency clients as well as a TV format development.
- Scoping and quoting jobs, then writing production schedules and getting client sign-off.
- Booking, holding and releasing crew, kit, studios and locations in Sydney, Melbourne and interstate.
- Writing call sheets and running shoots on the day.
- Managing edit WIP rounds:

collating client feedback, briefing editors and motion designers, and delivering final masters in every format needed.
- Staying on top of job financials, including approving supplier invoices against job numbers, raising invoices and chasing POs
- Being the day-to-day contact for clients and agency producers, with calm, transparent and quick communication

What you'll need

- At least 5 years' producing experience, ideally at a production company or across both production and agency
- A proven record of running several jobs at once from quote to delivery
- Strong budgeting skills, and comfort with Xero-style invoice workflows
- Understanding of social and digital delivery specs (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, DOOH)
- Availability for occasional interstate travel for shoots
- Nice to have: experience with NFP and advocacy clients, or with AI-assisted production workflows
