The City of Charles Sturt is excited to recruit 3 x Graduates to join our Graduate Program.

Our two-year Graduate Program offers hands-on experience, professional development, mentoring, and exposure to a wide range of projects that make a real difference to our community.

About the role:

As a Graduate, you will be placed within a Division that aligns with your skills, qualifications and career aspirations.

Depending on your background, you may work across areas such as:

- Customer Experience
- Community Development
- Community Health and Safety
- Communications and Engagement
- Finance
- Human Resources
- Planning and Environment
- Engineering and Infrastructure
- Technology and Digital Services
- Data and Analytics
- Performance, Business Intelligence and Improvement
- Governance and Risk

Throughout the program you will:
- Contribute to meaningful projects that deliver real community outcomes
- Gain exposure to different areas of local government
- Build professional, technical and leadership skills
- Receive mentoring, coaching and development opportunities
- Expand your professional network across Council
- Develop a strong understanding of how local government serves and supports communities

About You:

We are seeking a progressive and well-rounded graduate to join us. You are enthusiastic, curious and ready to make a positive contribution.

You may be a recent graduate or in the final stages of completing your studies and are looking for an opportunity to launch your professional career.

Qualifications:

We encourage applications from graduates who have completed, or are due to complete, a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, including but not limited to:

- Business, Commerce and Finance
- Information Technology, Digital and Data Analytics
- Engineering, Infrastructure and Asset Management
- Planning, Environment and Sustainability
- Community Development and Social Sciences
- Human Resources, Psychology and Organisational Development
- Communications, Marketing and Public Relations

- GIS, Spatial and Geospatial Sciences
- Other disciplines relevant to local government.

The Detail:

A graduate employee will enjoy:

- A full-time, fixed-term contract for a period of two years
- Starting salary from $86,219.09 per annum + Superannuation + Annual Leave Loading.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this contract. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
